The Estonian Reading Association/ EstRA (Eesti Lugemisühing) was founded in May 1992 and became a National Affiliate of the International Reading Association in April 1993.

EstRA is a voluntary organization that unites individuals in Estonia interested in reading and in issues related to reading and literacy. The members of EstRA (more than 150) are representatives of different reading-related professions. EstRA aims to follow the IRA's goal-setting process and its guidelines for Estonian traditional development in reading and literacy.

17. th European Reading Conference

We invite you to attend the 17th European Conference on Reading in Mons, Belgium, July 31 > August 3, 2011.

The theme of the Conference, Literacy and Diversity, refers to literacy as an expression of diversity, the expression of diversity in literacy, the diversity of cultures, languages, theories, methods and practices which thrive in the field… It is also a reference to the European Union motto : United in diversity.

# The project “Reading is fun” is continuing into its 7th year, www.lom.edu.ee/.
